I Am Legend
as per his recent email -- i am not 100% sure that the seller got his money back -- yet --

apparently ??
ups is picking it up to inspect it -- FIRST -
thats why he asked me for pictures...

maybe ups will claim that he sent me a broken POS --
and that it was NOT the fault of their piss-poor ridiculous cheapo packing --- :dunce: :annoyed:  ??
i sure hope not

but anyway --
when i first got it --all i asked for was a partial refund --
because the parts did look good-

but the seller said " NO --its insured "

so --i just dont know what ups will choose to do with this ?
all i know is that the seller came thru $$ - fast

Here's a link to the UPS claims process:

http://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resour ... ocess.html

That sounds like a huge headache compared to just keeping it and selling parts. Besides, the claim (if paid) is sent to the seller. The buyer is completely out of the loop on a claim payment. The seller could always say, "Nope, UPS denied the claim." Then, he has your money AND the insurance payment money. I'm not saying that will happen, but...

Put in some painted cardboard speakers and put a little weight in
the box!! :w00t: Get out some tools Ira! Does it have s potentiometer
for the volume for my 975? Could use a couple of knobs I think.
Quick start manufacturing cheap facsimiles of the parts you need.
Otherwise the he'll with it-the neighborhood dog took it!! :dog: :cat: :-O :surf:  :w00t: :dj-party: :dj-party:

The whole tread is a spam. There is no such thing like "moral" and "ethic" when shipping companies are involved.... :-P

In response to the original question, do we know for sure that UPS will throw it out ? :-P
Perhaps they auction off things like this, to raise money
Or, perhaps they donate them to their employees
Or to Goodwill, or charity.....
