I was thinking the same thing Reli.Postal workers could see it was kick-arse boomer so they were more careful with it.On the other hand I would be shocked and pissed off at the seller for not even using a box.I mean Christ almighty you can get a free box(s)at the super market or from stores getting their shipments at your local mall.All you have to do is ask,and most stores will give them to you.Its just sad when sellers pull this shnit.It really makes you wonder what the hell is going on in some peoples minds!Anyway nice Sharp and especially the Panasonic there hardman.I hope you can get it up and running at full capacity.👍

Between both, sharp has only one channel working (maybe issues on slider balance pot, or Amp IC).
With only one channel, panny not have chance on Loudness comparo.
Sharp have 85w power comsumption and 26w max woofers with 8ohms.
The bass is there, but not warm and tight as the panny.

How does the sound quality of the RX-DT680 compare with the Exos-9?

My answer is: The ONLY box that can compare with E9 in my collection now (and others that left my collection), it's the Panasonic RX A2.
The E9 it's 3 or 4 steps ahead in sound quallity and output than the many grails that I hear/have.

ALL that E9 not have in aesthetics and controls, it's surpassed by the sound.

It's something that YOU NEED to hear, and even hearing, you STILL don't belive...

In outdoors, The A2 it's loud louder than the E9, but indoors, the bass of E9 shake windows better than the A2.
E9 it's amazing outdoors too, but A2 is more louder, but, E9 weights 3x less than the A2.
You can cranks the E9 at max and the sound quallity is still there, not like C100, that you go louder, but hurts the ears...

It's a testament to Panasonics build quality on most of they're boxes that this survived Hardmen. How did you sort out the grilles?
