Hey guys ! A couple of years ago I bought a Mishka x Lasonic i931BTQ and as I was unaware of the 120/230v switch under the back cover I bought a cheapo converter plug which didn't even convert
-_____- The first time I plugged it in it made a "buzzzzzz" followed by a loud "POP" and then the smell of electrical/wire smoke. I have always hoped I didn't destroy it completely and kept it on the odd chance I could one day fix it, I recently came across a bunch of parts being sold on ebay and amazon at reasonable prices and my stepdad being an ex A-class sparky (electrician) said he'd be happy to fix it for me if I could find out exactly what needs fixing. Do any of you guys in this forum know much about electronics and exactly what part of the boombox would have been fried from this unfortunate event happening? Any assistance you can give me would be greatly appreciated as I've held onto this boombox for four years just waiting for the right time to try and get the knowledge and parts I need to fix it. Or even if any of you know a way I could go about a series of tests on each part of the boombox to find out exactly what was fried by my stupid decision to not research it enough initially. Thanks so much guys, you're my last hope !
