its not fair to compair it to a boombox its ac only and will blow most boxes into the weeds. its more of a portable mini system and packs a punch

Everyone raves on about these, but I have the FH7 speakers, and I don't think they sound that good! Lacking in bass...

I've tried connecting them to big amps, small amps, and my own Fh-33.

Perhaps the FH7 was eq'd well to suit the speakers.
