Several years ago I turned down a job as an installer for an Avant Garde dealer in NH (not enough $$$).
It would have been a pretty interesting experience, but I needed money more than I needed an "interesting experience."
Roofing in the Boston area has proven to be just as interesting - albeit with bloodier knuckles - but the money's right.

People like to have A/V systems, but people NEED to have roof's!

I still have mountains of gear from when I performed live. Stacks of amps, speakers, EQ's, mixers. I could fill another room (if I wasn't married).

Some awesome stuff shown above

I was in a high end audio shop in the mid 90's with my 2 younger children, when my daughter got tired and decided to sit on a speaker. The salesman ran over and said: could you please get your daughter off of that speaker, they're $60,000 for the pair."

Arom, These systems can blow some roofs! So you should work on the installation of roof blowing audio systems along with roofing! It is a win win situation!

That is right! I saw a few speakers that expensive at ABT electronics store (http://www.abt.com/) hardly 4 miles away from where I live. I've never seen a store that huge in my whole life. I've traveled extensively within US and abroad. They have more than 6 huge home theater set up for demonstration purpose. In one of those theater set up I saw speakers around $60K to $75K for the large main speakers alone and $12K sub woofers. One can see so many expensive speakers and receivers in that store.

Also saw a curved TV that was priced $110,000. I wondered who would have that kind of money to buy these gadgets but in reality there are people out there who can afford it.

Wow! That is an amazing set up. I still have two Akai reels in that picture including the GX 77 and GX 747. I love those Pioneer reel to reel. They are so expensive!

I am looking for a reel to reel to add to my living room set up, if not for any other reason than cool factor.

The set up above looks like a back room at the Pentagon!

There's some real fancy gear on display here and, although I've seen a nice Hi-Fi or two in my time, I've never seen anything like these - or even believed they could exist! I don't even want to know what these sort of set ups may cost as I'd probably never believe this either. Impressive to say the least!

Drool! If I ever came into a bottomless pit of cash this is what it would go toward.

Years ago I spent many hours perusing the Greek audiophile club's gallery at aca.gr and came away with a whole new understanding of what expensive means!
