Very nice bbox - and good to hear that it sound so nice.

These bboxes are very popular here in germany - if I remeber right these units where sold in east germany (DDR) in "Kaufhaus des Westens" where you could bought for lots of money stuff that just the west germans could buy at every corner. I friend from the ex-east told me they cost about 1500,- east german marks / not shure what this is in dollars, because there was a big difference between east- and west-Mark ...

After I read your sound discription I go for one ... take a look in ebay germany!

Those boxes have very nice feeling controls, awesome toggle switches, and tape buttons that click much better than any other box with top-mounted controls.
In terms of sound quality, it's just as nice & detailed as a TPR-950, but maybe a bit louder. Also it has very good bass, although not as much as my Crown 980.
