there will never be another iconic star of that magnitude in music.
period.
 Perfectly stated Bill. I 've been thinking about all the generations he impacted and influenced. The different stages in his life long career. How he influenced fashions, music and cultures throughout the world. It would be very hard to find one person on this globe who's never at least heard of him or does not like at least one song he's ever sang. Without a doubt, Michael Jackson is a legacy. :'-(

Ford, Unfortunately it's not just the drug companies pimping us out for money. Virtually all big businesses and many of our politicians are selling us out for cash and their personal gain without regard to our health, standard of living or our future.

I've heard many people state if they don't see an issue directly affecting them then they don't care, they don't want to even know about it. This is exactly the attitude all of these thugs hope for and count on, will we ever wake up? I hate to be a pessimist but I don't think enough people will take notice and take action until it's far to late. To many of us living exclusively in our bubbles and unless someone or something pops the bubble we don't care about anything outside the bubble.

We live in a time of incredible greed, no such thing as a fair profit anymore. To many people just trying to grab as much as they can any way they can without a care about how it affects us or the world.

Very sad. I was 10 when Thriller came out and will never forget how that album just took over. He was the leader of that new generation of pop music. It was such an exciting time for music.

Unfortunately you are right MB I guess when we do wake up it'll be too late! :annoyed:

I just don't understand how people just don't see it. On every T.V. channel theres a commercial from some law firm advising anyone in use of a drug that have caused people to die they may have a case.

Should'nt people be saying hey theres something wrong with the Pharmaceutical companies. Whats going on are we so blind it's right there in your face!

People are dying and yes sometimes it's the person that abuses it, but there have been countless others that were using it accordingly to their Doctor's advice and still die.

approx 35000 people die from prescription drugs per year in the usa.
opiate based pain killers and being addicted to them is the same as being addicted to heroin.
while it is easy to get a doctor to write someone a script for what is basically synthetic morphine,it is almost impossible to get that person off once they get hooked.
opiate based addictions are only over come about one in one hundred cases. there is many people you encounter who are addicted to pain killers.
doctors lawyers workers athletes rich and poor.
eventually the need for the drug becomes so strong that it is a chemical dependancy and getting off cold turkey can actually kill you.

The saddest thing in years  I still can't belive it i can't cry im to used to death but this guy shal always be a legend, just as sad as when diana went, boy im glad i aint got a tv i could'nt cope

Love that avatar Rimmer. The latest is that maybe MJ died due to prescription drugs again as I've been saying over and over again. These Pharmaceutical companies are destroying people much quicker then Marijuana and the fargged up part is that no one is never seem to go to jail! :nonono:

The Government always preaching about the illegal drugs and the cartels but in my opinion the worlds BIGGEST cartel is the Pharmaceutical companies which have so much power in this country when they lobby in Washington they shell out big contributions. Jesse the Body Ventura former Navy Seal and former Govenor said it best "American's need to get their heads out of the sand".

Thanks dude had to be done in these sad times, we have all lost an icon and more impoetant than that a part of our youth

RIP MJ
