Hello all.

I won a auction right now on ebay (a Korean Conion C100-F) that needs "months" of TLC and the seller don't ships to Brazil, so, I need a "god soul member" who receive the box, them, if possible, ships to me down here...

Anyone could help me??

Cheers.

Mauricio, shipping costs will be the killer for you. You are probably looking at $400 or more based on size and weight.

Bobby, I know the shipping costs would killing me, but if I have won a $1500.00 C100F, that costs killing me anyway... ...so, even that Conion it's in "rough" condition, the chances that I find one in the same condition with triple times of price, in one in one million, so, I decide to pay that costs...

If one member (or even you) can help me with that, I pay a reward (my mini U4-SL).

CHEERS.

looks like priority is getting it to a member. shipping it to brazil could wait until the best shipping idea comes up.

You can ship a C100 to brazil with padding via USPS it will add 3x the cost of shipping.

it states right in his auction that he only ships to the usa so why did you bid on it anyway??? you kind of set yourself and the seller up for a bunch of headaches don't you agree? :nonono:

if you lived in a country where there was a time where any kind of import was prohibited and knowing the difficulty to achieve certain things, would understand why I have entered this negotiation ...

I did it, knowing that there is always someone who likes the same thing as you, always willing to help in any way so as to achieve their ideals (even agreeing that sometimes, it's crazy).

Cheers.

please understand --some of our posts are just trying to protect YOU from a disaster = " accident waiting to happen "

you are taking way too big of a risk for a nasty looking box --
and it may LIKELY get smashed in shipping
and you will have ZERO for COLLECTABLE insurance

agree that ' crazy ' is about normal for us collectors :-D

but this deal is 60 miles beyond crazy ...... IMHO

Sounds like good advice! The ratio of purchase price to shipping cost is awful.
On the plus side, shipping a Piece of Mierda does have advantages:
1. lower stated value which will help import fees.
2. If a corrupt customs inspector is looking for something nice to add to his collection...
this will not be it.
3. When he takes all the stickers and paint off of it, revealing a minty conion, we will really look silly for doubting.

In certain way, some blasters that I bought from another country, the shipping fees costs me more them the box itself... ...what a chance that anyone of us buy a C100F in good condition with some functions working "from a member!" for less than $500,00?

I apreciate that advices, really, but maybe NEVER I had another chance to put my hands in a box for a price that I will pay...

Cheers.

Hey Hardmen,

I totally understand where your coming from. I have to assume there is very little chance to get a grail like the C100 in Brasil. So you got to do what you got to do. I applaud you for at least trying. I am confident it will show up. It's allot of money to gamble with, but I've seen people lose more on a table in Las Vegas.

Bill,

You know what to do. You got to pack this thing like it's going to war. I'm not sure how the power supplies are on the C100's. You may want to take it out and wrap that separately.

A Boomboxery Team effort increases your chances of success greatly!

Best of luck brother and post pictures of that C100 when she makes it down south!

Might be worth having Bill do his magic on that C100-F before it ships. ;-)

That Ebay seller's got balls to admit to being the one who 'decorated' that BBX.
I hope all that paint will come off ok.

Good luck with your project.

James..... :-)
