Last summer I made a little paint mod on one of my Philips LeCubes. I think the white ones really don't pull it off whereas the yellow ones are awesome One white one I had looked like someone smoked way too much so I took it apart and got some graffiti cans. The job really wasn't done very professionally (-> graffiti cans) but I think it turned out pretty well. My choice of c olours was a summer green for the main body and a fruity red for the inside, like a water melon.

In this pic you can see that the paint doesn't withstand harsh scratching.

Great color scheme.
Some plastics, especialy vinyl / PVC / ABS, do not take paint well. I've had success in obtaining a fairly durable finish by first scuffing the surface with a 3M pad. Then prime with a Krylon Fusion. Once the Krylon is completely dry, you can scuff again with a 3M pad, then hit your piece with any color you can think of.
I think I'm gonna whip up some fruit salad to go with breakfast now.

I am also thinking about changing the speakers. This thing is pretty loud but really lacks bass.
If it had more bass the cube would be an awesome box for hanging out in the park, blasting some tunes and drinking some 0.33l cans

Yeah like Superlew said, you always need to scuff or sand plastics before painting.. the sand scratches are what gives "bite" for the paint to stick to, otherwise without sanding the paint can chip or peel right off..
