If anybody in FL or southeast knows of or is willing to look around for me, I'm looking for a Nice condition 1998 Mark VIII for my daily commute.

Around $4000.00 and around 100,000 miles, LSC preferred.

The 4.6L V8's in these get in the high 20's on the highway, and high teens around town.

I used to want one of those... till I found out that when the airbag suspension goes, it costs thousands of dollars to replace. I've seen many of them Lincoln's sittin' around with the either the nose or the ass on the ground, and sometimes layin' flat... And since most people in the hood are basically broke, those cars can sit around for a looooong time,... years even.

I suppose your cash is long, so it's safe to assume that you won't have that problem should the situation arise if you succeed in getting one of those.

well if the rear goes low all you got to do is drop the front for an instant low rider, plenty of parts for them at my local junkyard: Here's junkyard inventory as of today:

A Lincoln Mark VIII lowrider... :hmmm: Ultimately, you can't drive around Philly with your car sittin' that low because of potholes and whatnot... Now, if you've got juice in your ride... :thumbsup: :cool: Lowriders are extremely rare in Philly these days, but I do see 'em every now and then.

Had a 95 Thunderchicken for about 3 years until some young punk plowed me from behind at about 30 mph. The V8 was a blast to drive but the car hammered over road imperfections, the clear coat went bad in only 4 years and it left me stranded more than once with starting issues (bad igniters, a known Ford issue).

Replaced the ThunderChicken with a Camry V6 after it was wrecked, the Camry hasn't had any issues in 9 years and it has 211,000 miles on it right now. Unfortunately this has been the same situation with every American car I've had, they just don't last however, every Japanese car I've had has been stone cold reliable.

Was going to out see this yesterday, and someone BIN'd it early, early Sat AM.

I have spoken to seller, and if deal goes south he will advise, but he has a deposit and
buyer flying in Monday to pick up. This was exactly what I wanted too, and 30 minutes from my house.

1994 Lincoln Mark VIII with 32V 4.6 motor the chassis has about 210k miles on it but motor is only about 80k. mods include MSD coil packs and plug wires, 3600 stall converter, shift kit, 3.73 rear gears with rebuilt posi unit (gears and posi are all ford racing parts with about 1000 miles on them), car has been converted from leaky air ride to coil springs front and rear. the motor has had about 4 bottles of nitrous run through it with a 75 shot but the $1500 price does not include nitrous set up. i also have a set of slicks that i can include for an extra $75 and the nitrous set up for $150. i have never ran the car at the track wit the nitrous but it has gone as fast as 9.0 at 78 mph in the 1/8th mile with a 1.98 60' still getting about 20 mpg around town.

asking $1500 OBO but would consider a trade for just about anything turbo 5 speed that runs and drives would prefer mustang SVO or thunderbird turbocoupe

This car is my baby. I hate to part with it, she has been great to me. Beautiful Cream paintjob with cream interior. Stay nice in the summer months. It has everything, a/c jbl sound system, power everthing, sun roof, telescopic wheel, air blows cold. Best of all she has the COBRA motor and is very fun to drive. Nice wheels and tires around, new springs. does need rear shocks replaced. Ready to drive away. I get about 20 in the city and 26 on the highway. She is very dependable has never left me stranded. Car has been well cared for and is a pleasure to drive. Mileage works out to about 11K a year.
