Makes me wonder how my life would be different if I headed down the path of a fellow classmate in high school.

We both graduated class of '01 from Beaver Dam High School. Matter of fact almost standing next to each other (my last name is Barnes). Hung out a few times in the past and mostly within the same group of people. He always projected an "I'm better than you" kind of attitude so I never became a real good friend of his.

Would I be happy?
Would I be complete?
Would I still have the same friends and family supporting me?
Who would I have cut ties with?

Millions of thoughts go through my head (about 4 million  ). I'm very happy with what I have accomplished that has nothing to do with money but all it what I have learned and been through. Just the question, "what if?" is interesting to think about. Almost seems like a dream, neither good or bad. I only say that because he probably has had really low lows and really high highs on his journey.

Honestly I don't care what others have done...there are always people who've done better and some who've done worse...secret to a happy life is to be happy with what you've got and not crave what others have.

Not saying you do Joe, just passing a comment :-)

As long as you can wake up with a smile and hope for good you are blessed.
People forget to count their blessings and always see grass greener on the other side...
The more money you have the more worries and responsibilities you got!
Forget the issues one can have with chics then.... :w00t:
Pretty girls will chase you down...and married life goes to trash! :-D :-D
Inner peace makes one happy....
Good boomboxes, audio systems, jazz and german beer makes me happy!
I do an excellent job at work and good to family, friends and all. That also makes me happy!
I love to make people laugh...that makes me happy too....
Good health is very important! Don't eat unhealthy food and kill ourselves.

Joe you are blessed!

For sure guys. Not saying I want to be in his shoes because we all have different lives to live.

I just wonder how I myself would change or not change (personality wise), and would I be complete.......

I love you guys here, my wife and kids, my job is stress free most of the time, my hobbies are fun-ish, I have no complaints about who I am as a person.

It is interesting to see what happens to friends as we grow up and grow older.

When I was a kid there were some kids I looked at and thought "Damn, they have it made, they are smart, good looking, have money" whatever, and then I see them now and they are not happy, multiple divorces, struggling due to bad decisions.

You never know what you're going to get out of this world. It's a crap shoot. There are no guarantees. Working hard, being a good person, treating people around your right and then BANG you're dead in a plane crash! There is no rhyme or reason. Just a bunch of sh@t that happens.

But you do the best you can while you're here. Try to find happiness. Work hard at what you do. Love your kids (if you have them). Lead by example and not by force.

Money can't buy happiness and you can put a smile on someones face simply with kind words like...

"Dude, that's a sweet radio" or "Dude, that radio pounds", or "Dude, you did a great job restoring that radio". Basically anything radio related!   HEY, it makes me smile! :-D

Me time! :w00t:
I call personal time for fun 'me time'!
Once we have peaceful 'me time' we are happy campers. We have fun with our toys and drinks.

Looks like "Lucky Baldwin" has been in a downward trend since a career high in 2009. What's he going to do after poker? :hmmm:

Go!
