I considered painting mine as well, which are this "grey, not tan", drab looking m90 woofers (released with the yellow vu meter version). They could use that nice blue that you are using.

i worked on one not to long ago that had one speakers that was half tan and the other small part blue ,,i guess wherever it was sitting sun rays were attacking the speakers and were losing its nice blueish factory color,, plus i have heard some with black but still the back is the light blue color ,,so i guess if you want it to look original that would be the way to go ..and for the chrome caps ira up to now not sure except i saw a website that has chrome paint and it was garranteed it was not aluminum paint so i am still looking for the site to see if that would be a good way to paint the caps....
