M70 speakers on another box

Just wondering if anyone has tried M70 speakers in a different box for better results. I ended up with an extra set and not sure wether to just sell them or plop them something else. Kind of like sticking lasonic 8" into a GPX or equivalent. Or is moot as its the m70 internals and not the speakers that make the difference?

I think some have stuck the M70 woofs in a JVC 838

M70 has better amps than the vast majority of other midsize boxes, so.......That's probably a bigger factor than the speakers.

It was an SCR8 and I own it now. Don't know how it sounded before but it sounds excellent now......

Cool, I may try this my unpainted blockbuster that sat in a puddle of water for a few years is definately a candidate for speaker replacement and or upgrade I'll report the findings

They fit in the 838 perfectly. not sure if it made much difference because one of the sides isn't working. I cleaned all the controls and sliders. the speakers are both good tested with the original speakers same results. maybe amp chip?

The M70 speakers are a higher ohm than the 838
