Ace Dull Aluminum spray paint. It has the right shade and goes on silky smooth... :-D

outstanding....i commend you efforts... now its party time :dj-party:

:-D :-D Thanks Jimmy!

It was not easy to take the whole thing apart and do the painting in one day.....

I will post pictures when all is done. It sounds excellent and works fantastic.

:-D Norm gave the best recommendation for the lubricant, I used white silicone grease.

I used DOW MOLYKOTE 44M Silicone High Temp Grease. This brand is pretty expensive.

:-D Actually Joe had a very good recommedation for belts. He reminded me to go with the small flat belts from studio electronics. Medium belts will slip off the pulley. The small wide belts work fine.

:-D Thank you fresh produce for getting one original antenna!

Thanks to Bluefuz

You guys are Awesome! :agree: :agree:

In the past I had success removing the chrome speaker rims and the grill with other M70s. I had no luck with this one at all. :sadno: :sadno:

It appears like the glue they used on the grills spread to the rims and they all are so firm. I didn't want to soak it in warm water to soften the polymer in the glue.

If I ever bought the belts without Joe's advice, I would have been in trouble again to open up the box and replace the belts.

The box now looks like new and works like a charm! :-D

M70s are a real treasure to have. I will buy more if I see one for a good price.

I think M70 is the overall winner among Boomboxes! :agree:

They are well built and sounds FANTASTIC! :breakdance: :breakdance: :breakdance:
