I have tons of M70 parts that have been listed for sale for months..... I have the strap holders you need, and I have a pair of tweeters too. No need to pull another one apart lol.

Fuz. Those your tweeters on eBay? What size are the subs as well? The tweeters will be good for the 767 replacements

If anyone has a decent working cassette door damping mechanism let me know.
It is the part that allows the door to open real slow.
I hate the way mine just pops open. It's like a wore out twat

Hmm..I didn't know they were supposed to open slow..? Mine "whooshes" open, like the sound a piece of bamboo would make if you swung it like a bat..
It's my first/only M70, I'm glad the deck works great though..

Hey Cruisin'! You're right. It pops open fast & then dampens at the end of the swing, if working properly. Usually, the damper wears out & the cassette stops hard after a few years of use....

Hey Rikerton!! If you use the tweeters for the triple7-ZEEE then you need to shim them with washers to get the desired output you want. If you mount them without shims the ring on the plastic lense/holder will hit the paper cone of the tweeter so make sure you shim it so that the cone clears the ring by about 2-3mm so the the dome of the tweeter is centered in the neck of each horn....

Check out the thread on it & pay attention to the pic of the horn & the dome sitting inside the neck of the horn, perfectly centered.:

A salute CPL. Yes I was planning on using them as you did yours. Thanks for the reminder of the shims and thank you for the refresher post. I still need to get around to getting the tweeters still.

Nope, sorry but you are wrong. Supposed to open slowly and smoothly from the moment you press eject.
It was one of the characteristics I loved about the M-70 since they were first introduced.
Most are wore out by now.
Sorry for the hijack

Lol. I got this in about 3 or 4 weeks ago and still have not opened the box. A 777 came in as well still in the box :bang: . Hopefully soon I can get to my projects. The VZ 3500 works fine though
