Loudest box you've heard

For all those above, the BigBen sounds amazing, but it's not loud at all! An M70 would crush that.

My loudest is probably the Pioneer Disco Robo...

Getting jealous right now seeing pics of all these heavy hitters.

My loudest box is my Philips D8778 this is rated at 30w per channel, a bit bland as it has no vu's lights etc, but still manages to consume 66 watts. It drowns out my M70 once above half volume lacks a little in bass, but still has some.

1.) Pioneer CK-3 , great volume ; very punchy
2.) Sony CFS 9000 .. heavy hitter underestimated because of it`s small size..

I was very impressed with my Philips D8614 My neighbour wasn't so If you tweak the bass and treble it goes VERY loud in terms of clear volume

For "earth shattering" bass, it's got to be the JVC RV-B90 Kaboom, and for pure obnoxious volume, it's got to be the Sharp GF-777Z.

compared to the classics, are ugly... ...but their sound is indescribable indeed!!!

Yes, for sure the DT707/909 is not the most beautiful boombox ever made.....its ugliness goes away when you turn it on!!! Unlike the JVC Kaboom...pure fugly curbstop, and the sharp gf-777....not even gonna go there!! Just my honest opinion though....remember that.

My fh215rs are quite intensley loud. Honestly where the kaboom has a nice round sounding bass these have a you just got punched in the gallbladder bass sound,

There is now doubt that the A5 is an F'n BEAST....but even at the Nor Cal meet it was undesided on whether to let this machine run away with the title....Even though she runs on batteries, you can't just pick it up by the handle and walk away...if you did, you'd be draggin' speakers by the cords

For sure the C 100 9s the loudest 1 piecer The Telefunken M1 or Fisher PH 490 and.oter 3 piece boomboxes are extrem loud too. But to me this is another dimension in built quality.

I'd put my Sony FH-808R up, it's pretty extreme but is only AC so not sure if it really counts. Anyone in Melbourne who wants to challenge are welcome to take on my Super Acoustic Turbo APM's.

Telefunken 1M Studio also sounds lovely up loud.
