I just got a mint RX-5150 for my first boombox. It came in a collection I bought, and in its original (although pretty beat up) box. I plan to sell the rest, but keep this one, and since it’s in such immaculate condition, I’d love to have an original cassette door sticker. I don’t care if it’s the version from the US, Euro, Japan, whatever, (I’m not even sure if there was a difference) I’d just like to have a replica

Unfortunately I couldn’t find a hi res photo of a door sticker, or else I’d probably attempt to make one for myself.

Photo taken from another Boomboxery member. Sorry I lost the screen name of the original poster. CD1AD7E4-4191-4141-894F-E240E74A386B.jpeg

Zoomed in to see if I could read the details, are they:

Ambience
Stereo
Soft Touch Operation
Panasonic
RX 5150

Recreation a possibility perhaps.

Not promising but curious to know the exact dimensions of the cassette window and the entire cassette door. Hard to tell the fonts utilized, have anything more readable?

Ok, This is a recreation of another version for the RX-5150 decal I could find. I couldn't find fonts for the original but I found a picture of the decal to clean up. Initially the RX-5150 type sits on transparent background so you might do some creative cutting to make it look good. I would cut away the gray around the letter/numbers.

In another life I would have to do stuff like this when doing graphic/logos recreation.

I was bored waiting for some painted parts to dry so enjoy!

P.S. No one had dimensions for me so you might need to tweak sizing a tad.

Came back to post these. Finally found some decent photos online. Took a few days

unfortunately can’t find any more photos of the sticker I originally posted92FFE5A7-6CCD-4340-8FBF-643DDFBFFFA7.jpeg7FB00FC5-C2E3-4D0C-A38E-CCC0A98D243F.jpeg0A4A4201-A709-493A-B76E-44CB010F0DC4.jpeg15AE2A2F-D084-4AC0-89F9-E32F184829A3.png58827C4F-68CF-4A49-B8BD-C0D42DFC6101.png545B4129-151E-47E9-A3D1-C2F14D33508E.png
I really love the “disco 50” ones, but I’m sure it’s hard for anyone that doesn’t know Japanese to recreate that text. The National Panasonic logo on the other one is super cool though. I think they’re both better than the red one I posted previously, although I would like to find a proper photo to use for reference

haha I was working on posting photos of that after work, but apparently you beat me to it.

looks great!! I don’t have issues doing some graphic design myself, but I’m not great at recreating things, so I should be able to get it to work with the transparency and the dimensions Thank you!!

I need 1 if you guys make them the 15 watt one thanks

honestly, if i knew exactly what i needed, i’d make a bunch for forum members, ebay, etsy, etc. but i don’t have a working printer for myself at the moment, and don’t know of anyone that does. if i could get them printed somewhere on the correct sticker sheets, i would do so.

can anyone point me in the right direction on how to get these made?

You could print them with an inkjet printer on vinyl decal paper or do a small run on a site like make stickers.com.
