My parents once had a phone like that. Theirs was that nasty avocado green that was popular in the 70s. The cord on that thing would stretch to about 100 meters - or so it seemed.

Yep, we had 1 phone in the house, it was in the kitchen, it was avocado green and matched the stove, refrigerator, wall paper...you name it! WTH were they thinking?

Thanks guys, I found these in an abandoned house and they do work!
Yes the phone is all there and us 1962'-tthe year I was born.
When I get a land line again; guess wwhat I'm using this!!!
