The law allowing registered Uruguayans over 18 to buy up to 40g (1,4oz) of the drug a month......
Anyone want to buy a Northumbrian passport?

Before I moved to my current home, I was registered with a GP surgery where they had applied for a home office licence to prescribe THC-based medication for my routine pain relief as it was safer than the DFs I was taking at the time, then I moved to where I stay now and here, the local NHS Trust doesn't have that licence which means that I need either to break the law (unadviseable as I work in education) or "register as a Uruguayan!" in order to remain sufficiently pain free to continue working while retirement age.
But when I did have a regular smoke, a wee Henry would be more than enough for one week, so the Uruguayan monthly allowance would have lasted me at least two months and this makes me wonder whither there'll be loads of people over there buying their allowance in order to sell half of it to folk who want more or who want to move it out of the country and if that were to happen, then legalising wouldn't solve a problem, it would simply move one and create another.

I wish Uruguay luck here, but when it was downgraded in the UK, the policy lasted less than a year and it was then upgraded to a class B drug again, which makes things difficult for the few of us who need it for clinical purposes and not simply in order to be able to understand why Cheech & Chong were funny. :w00t:
