Very, Very excited about this one. A Philips D8814

This is just a picture of one. The one i've got needs a good clean, has an issue with the on/off buttons and has a slider missing.

It's arrived but it needs a damn good clean. There's a lot of dust/fluff inside the speakers but after looking inside i'm very apprehensive about stripping it down

Anyway i've given it a wipe down for now and removed the dodgy on/off buttons. Didn't think it worked at all when I first plugged it in. Turns out the computer side which has the clock/timer and the on/off buttons has to be powered by 2 AA batteries for it to power up The cassette belt has perished but radio tunes in a treat. Twin aerials complete, line-in all good and sounds great with the spatial setting. Gonna be a bit of a project with update pictures but not rushing it.

As it is for now.

Thanks for the comments guys I've had the back off to sort the speakers dust issue and i'm gonna be honest here, I won't be stripping it down because it has a lot of wires all connected to three separate curcuit boards :annoyed: i'm very heavy handed at the best of times so it can stay as it is. Gonna go in with the canned air and hoover instead
