Lasonic TRC-931 Radio Dial Cord

I desperately need help with this fix. does anyone have any pointers for me?

the radio is working, but the dial cord isnt connected, or tied . when i bought the box it was already off. also, the FM/AM switch doesnt "click" or switch. Its stuck on fm and just spins. if anyone could help me id appreciate it.

The switch gear is broken that's why it freely spins. This is usual suspect of the 931's. also in order to fix tuner whole thing will need to come out and it will be challenging.

This is the 3rd edition and its totally different on inside. The 1st and 2nd editions have the boards laying flat inside. Here is pic.
