You have to remember that in an AUCTION setting, these boxes only get about $130-$150 in bids. If it is $180 SHIPPED, do it. $150 would be tops for me. It has to be fully working too  .

Damn, that is a Clean "T". I think it's very worth $180. You can pick up regular 920's all day long for that or more!

Not to many of these seem to come around each year. That one is nice!
I'll take your word for it Chris, your nickname isn't TRC-920 for nuttin' huh? :chris920:

Apparently it is working all fine Mr. Ira... but still, I'd like to see video of it working since it's not here in Venezuela... :hmmm:
Well depends :hmmm: you picking up or is this price include shipping  If it is being shipped, hopefully they know how to pack
This price would be including shipping... since it would be brought by a friend of mine to Venezuela!

   Ummmmm..I'm not sure I have any real credentials!

But I will say.....If I had $180, I would buy one for that price, If it's in working condition!

Nice looker, but pushing the limits on value for $180, IMHO.

I'd especially reconsider if it indeed has fake tweeters. (WTF?)

But, if fully working, it should be a simple mod to put real tweets in. Also, phono-in rather than aux. You'll need a phono attenuator to listen to an MP3 player on that box.

That price sure puts it right there on the fence... In your box-poor surroundings, I'd probably go for it, but would feel alot better about a $150 price tag.

G'luck!

Been outta the country for a few weeks, just catching up.

Regarding the 920T, I got a silver one last year and others thought it would have fake tweeters in it as well, but it didn't. Real deal, and the fresh red ones. I didn't do a direct sound comparison between the 2, but they seemed the same to me.

Check out the thread, and page 2 of posts has a pic of the real tweeter in mine.

I said I'd write the guy to see if he could make a vid, he answered that he'll make one, I just wanna make sure that everything is 100%... and then gonna offer him $150 and see if I can get away with it!!! :-D
I'll keep you posted!!!!

Took mine to work today, and I could tell a difference between my regular 920.. Gotta install some real tweeters to get that crisp clarity that I enjoy from the Treble turned all the way up!

I second that need for the knob if anyone has a parts box as you can see I'm missing one myself.

Hey JustCruisin, your 'location' says Midwest, where might you be? I'm in Minneapolis is you are ever anywhere around here.

I was wondering if the balance knob from a 931 is the same size, and would work as long as it's D-shaft??
I think the unit redbenjoe got in the mail that was damaged was a 920T? But, he sent it back?
I'm 2 hours south of you, I get up to the cities about once a month for various adventures! :-D

Hey, did you happen to open it up and see the real tweeters from the inside?

I don't think any came with tweeters, but many have been modded with them by now. It's an easy add, just make sure you put the resistor step down between the woofer and the tweeter.
