Thanks Guy's , I used a vz parts box somebody gave me . the bass much better with the larger and better made sharp cabinet's. There plenty of room left to add a spare tape drawer and carry 10 extra d cells in the spare battery compartment.

I agree those grills hide all the cool looking details on the speaker plates. I made the grills removable in case I want to cover the speakers when I take it out.

What's the bottom piece from? Do you have the EQ sliders for it?

It was a bsr spectrum eq , I have 8 slider covers left they are the type with the LEDs.

Oh I have a slider board from an old technics eq , has like 14 sliders on it.

I know exactly what that EQ is, I have the same one back in the states. It's the second one I have had. Does yours still have the spectrum analyzer in it?
