Those chrome parts come off the case FD.

Max, if you still have the tweeter covers you took off that are all crappy, I would love to have them! I want to paint them flat black to install on my 951 :cool: and I don't want to damage my originals.

Yeah, the sad thing is the old owner said he liked it to look "authentic" so apparently he removed the chrome himself :-O .
So it was what he called "streetlook" :-/ .

Gotta love boomboxery and its member for "making classic boomboxes happy again" :thumbsup:

BTW: I also fixed the annoying rattling in the right speaker. It was a loose dustcap as we all suspected. :yes:
A very easy fix but still it was scary to take this rather pricey radio apart :lol: .

Looking real good !!!!
Im not into the worn out authentic street look myself :-/
My dust caps had to be re glued as well , Thank goodness a very
easy box to work on though.
