My first box would be a keeper...purely for the sentimental value. Anything else is fair game :surf:

 Yes MB I have become a boombox horder, :w00t: :-P But I love it.
Seriously I really have to shrink them and move on with my life as my ex wife
had enough of them and need to move to a smaller appartment, But for now all the
boxes are in a temperature control storage, Is very clean and so what I do is start
picking the boxes I'll list, Test them making sure everything is working and what's
not working and go from there. :-D
Despite the fact I'm single makes it better for me to spend more time with my boomboxes
and in time find me a honey that loves my boomboxes as I love them.
Some of my keepers are from ya fine members here and some I have pass them to other fine
members here as well. Is a wonderful experience, I made plenty of friends here and met with some,
And for that I thank you so very much. Ya the best. :-D

Interesting thread Ira,

The other day, I was going through some boxes under my house. A few of the boxes came from my mom, when she packed up my Grand Parents house after they passed away and the house was sold. In those boxes were things that were packed up, presumably as "Keepers" My grand father was a professional Jockey and later a race horse trainer. There were many items in there like his helmet, a saddle and a sign he hung on the barn with his insignia on it. These of course are items that I will hang on to, as that was how he made his living and they are mementos I have to remember him by.

But there were many other items in those boxes. Things that I just can't hang on to. In the spring I will be moving and I just don't have space for everything. Many of the small trinkets have already found there way to new homes via garage sales. I still have allot of my grand parents furniture, but as time goes on, things wear out and you move on. Some of my grand parents furniture was shipped to japan when my wife moved there and will not be coming back. We just have no room for it. I find it an interesting journey for such items. My mothers bedroom set that she had as a teen will remain in japan. My wife sold it to a couple that had a young daughter that needed a bedroom set, so the cycle will repeat on the other side of the planet.

Will my kids keep my radio's....No....I know they won't. Unless I build a coffin out of my radio's, they will be sold off in time to worthy collectors, or sold at a garage sale after I die OR just thrown away. Who knows.

The things we hold as treasures may have no value to others as time passes. And you know....That's OK too. :-)

Go get her GB!

Hi GZ!
I actually tried, she just got married for the second time recently and after I found out it broke my heart!
I had known that she was recently divorced.

I actually still love her and always will.
I won't give up,I do so wish she would even be my friend.
She won't talk to me,BUT I had a great time talking to her brother who I graduated with and had just met at the 30 year reunion.
I gave her my Sharp GF-8989II in 1985' when she graduated.
I do still know and talk to a couple of her friends so I hope and pray that I can talk to her again.
Thanks man & take care-Jeff. :-)
