Kaspersky Antivirus problem

Hi,

I'm currently using Kaspersky, the problem is that when protection is switched on, it prevents Google Earth from operating. In order to use Google Earth, I have to turn Kaspersky off. It seems 'too keen' to prevent activity. Does anyone here use it? What can I do to make Kaspersky allow use of Google Earth?

Is there not a setting where you can "allow" Google Earth to bypass Kaspersky? Are you using the AV/Firewall combo?

Thanks Bobby, yes my Kaspersky is an antivirus/firewall combo. Anyway, after you mentioned 'firewall', I went into the firewall settings and you can add 'rules' for certain programs. It has two boxes you can tick to allow certain types of activity. Google Earth now works without me having to turn off my antivirus protection every time.
