JVC RC-M70 with knobs?

I've seen pics around of a JVC RC-M70 with several knobs below the tape door. I believe this is called the RC-M75? What are the knob's function? I can't expand the pics I've found enough to tell...

When I took apart my M70 to replace the belts, this area (below the tape door) in the M70 has plenty of clear space. So, the knobs must have been a design intent from the beginning.

Actually, I believe it's the RM-M71

The RC-M71 doesn't have the knobs on the bottom (gold finish) but only the 75 has the knobs!!

Wow nice, I first saw the knobs on a japan unit and letters were not in English and the FM dial numbers were off,
So I thought that only Jap units had it.
I never seen this 3 knob unit, wish they all had them.
Currently looking for similar
