Hey guys I have been keeping an eye out for an m70 for the collection since I hear they are so awesome. In my quest I have noticed some have three knobs on the bottom between the speakers and some do not. Is there a sub model I am not aware of? :hmmm:

There are a few different sub models.
The knobs beneath the deck are for pitch control echo and I forget what else.
I also believe the model with the knobs under the deck were Japanese domestic models.
See below, this is a Victor branded M-70 View attachment 10179

Yep, what he said!

Japanese Domestic. These were 100v units, some have been converted over to 120v or possibly if you get it locally to your voltage. But I would look into that before buying or just use it on batteries or on a converter.

Like you I bought one because everyone said they were so great AND THEY ARE!

Awesome paint job trc-920!
Thanks man. By far and away, the M70 seems to be the most custom painted radio out there. Member Mellymisr has 4, one stock and three, red white and blue metallic that look amazing!

If you end up with one, please post it up!

I am up to 5 M70's and I just repainted my gold M71. I love the M70, it is without question my favorite boombox. Great sound, great power, solid build quality, extremely reliable cassette deck, easy on batteries...the list goes on.

It's very difficult not to love the M70...I just picked up a second one. Seeing all these painted ones again makes me seriously tempted to repaint one of them!
