JVC RC-M60JW Blown right speaker - go figure

So I picked up a fairly minty JVC RC-M60JW and figured it had a bad slider, WRONG, Blown right speaker !

I know this is no powerhouse, it's probably about equal to the RC-656JW if I think about it, but it's pretty except for the waffle grilles.

The right speaker was a totally open circuit, or 20 megaohms, I couldn't believe it, it's fairly rare at least in my expirience.

This thing looks like it probably blew the speaker when it was very young, so I'm happy because to me condition is everything.

Now to find a replacement, or maybe 2. There must be a better speaker you can put in these boomers.

Anyone have suggestions for drop in 3.2 Ohm speaker, I guess 4 ohms would be Ok?

I'd replace both.
Just watch the depth so they don't interfere with anything.
I replaced the speakers in my M90 and had to completely change the mounting of the transformer.
It was a pita but I learned my lesson.

Thanks, yes, they can't be deeper than 2 - 1/4". I can't find any yet. I have some BIC V62's here, and they would fit perfect except they are 3.5" deep. I bet they would sound way better than the originals even though they are 6 ohms.
