Hi all, Just wondering whether the PC11 came with the clip-on cover that fits over the back as standard or as an optional extra? Mine has never had one according to the former keeper, nor has it had both of the connecting leads for DC supply between the components. In the case of the latter, it's no hardship to remove the lead, turn it around and plug it into the other pair of sockets when I want to run it from the battery but having both would mean that switching back to mains would simply be a case of plugging the cord into the figure 8 socket, plus I've seen examples where both leads were present.

None of this alters my fondness for the box, its functionality or the fact that it looks and plays well, but I have this weird fascination with having all of the correct bits where possible.

So, am I way too anally retentive about stuff that doesn't matter, or should I scour the country for a spare PC11 that does have these parts with it? Hmm, an excuse to go to jumbles, roups and car boot sales again. Have I just answered my own question?

The 11's had a cover. Most that had them new never used them because they typically didn't go outside. So no need to fiddle with it and it became an extra part in the forever lost box. I have the back cover to mine. :-D

Thanks for clearing that up. I've posted in the "parts wanted" area. I'm guessing that this new direction that my love of ancient electronics is taking me in is about to become expensive!
