The PC-V series are sweet boxes! These, along with the Panasonic Platinum series rode out the final glory days of the boombox. (The glory days as a whole that is...their days live on here! :-D )

Very nice box you got and what was even better was that it still had a line in! (Which JVC foolishly stopped....)

Cranking this on my home system's 15". Sort of reminds me of some of the mod files I have heard on the Amiga.

Lovin the retro cars on some of the YouTube vids of sellorekt

Yes, it's reminds amiga tunes, as well as music from classic 80's movies.
JVC have hyperbass system, its punches good, but you can't listen it very loud, bass starting to dissapear at high volume, and sound is starting to distort. This kind of bass is sort of artificial bass, but I am really like it.
Panasonic is pure, very acoustic and you can feel the separation of sounds. Bass is delicate but you can feel it benath every sound, it's more organic, it's one of my favourites boombox when it comes to sound quality and a listening pleasure. You can set it very loud and it's still have a good quality sound. :stereo:
