JVC M90 - eBay Buy & My 1st Box - Opinions?

I got one of the boxes that I was looking for when I bought this one:

I understand that it isn't perfect and the case is an issue, which is OK for me. Everything else looks like it is there and is repairable. I work on Arcade machines - new and old, and am mechanically inclined. If I can't fix something, I'll seek out help. Any thoughts on my starting point and what I paid? I understand there's good and bad here. I'm new and really excited about my 1st boombox. I won't take offense - so good or bad, let me have it!

and if it really sounds like a real m90 should = great buy

plus -- you dont actually have to do ANYTHING to enjoy it --
if you dont fix the deck - you can still play your tapes thru the line-in with a walkman

great price......hey an iPod through Line In sounds just retarded with good quality mp3's.

Thanks guys! Its good to know that I did OK. I've watched these for a while and tried to read everything I could about them before taking the plunge. Its good to know that I did all right. With eBay, its a craps shoot with anything, so it still might not be all that its cracked up to be. I feel pretty good though - plus hearing from "The Veterans" that I did OK is really taking my excitement to a higher level. Bill, let me get my box here and I'll probably be contacting you. Damn, I'm excited!

Paint work? I'm pretty new..... Is there a good paint match for the dark grey? Probably opening a whole new debate here.... Is that the way to go or keep it OG?
