well, somewhat to be expected. Nice review TMR...it's a shame it's so underwhelming, on the good side we just made boomshallalla's old boxed versions worth $1000 each (i believe he had the insane hoard of these?)

Give me a big hunk of transformer iron and class-AB amp chips mounted on a big hunk of aluminum.

yea it is 7-1/2 pounds lighter than earlier Kabooms.. seeing that i'm gettin older by the minute i guess it is made for old koots like me.. it is easier to carry.. but is that a good thing?

well Hemi.. i just bought the Altec Lansing IMT-800.. so i'll be able to tell you what one sounds better.. it's kinda lookin like the Altec will beat my JVC.. let the fight begin!

...or a Rising 20/20!

MP3 fans: try the Sansa Fuze or COWON S9! I think they sound better than an iPod.

...or a Creative XFi 2 touch, it blows the ipod touch away in sound....it has a MUCH better sound card ...sorry ipod fans

i mean who really knows who owns what in this day and age.

Looks like the JVC-TPG deal fell through and JVC ended up being sold to Kenwood. Guess losses for JVC had been mounting before this.

here's apic of the Altec Lansing IMT800 IMIX with the new JVC RV-NB50 Kaboom.. will have to send the Altec back.. bottom right front handle is cracked.. was able to open and take pics of the Altec's innards.. and listen to it for a little bit.. not enough to make a call on which is better.. but the Altec does look like it will trounce the new JVC.. even if it is smaller.. i will post a review of both once i have both runnin.. along with internal pics of the Altec..
