Guy who I scored the RX5250 from is a trash heap trawler

and he also had a Sanyo 9888 and a JVC RC838

I've tried for the last year to prize the Sanyo from him - but he has ideas on how much it is worth.

Truth be told his items are MINT

what should I pay for either of these two boomers?

I reckon 75 for the Sanyo (without MIC's) - but I know nothing of the Victor - is it a good model?

the 9998 is a valued box if you score it cheap then go for it the 838 is another great box but i do not belive it will be in the same leage as the sanyo sound wise but still is an excellent box

I'm checking out some Hitachi TRK's (non 3D woofer) - are there any that are keepers?

The 8200 seems to pop up for under 20 quid all the time - and I'm feelin the twin VU's under the deck.

Got this deck today - and the seller sent it in brown paper and a pvc binbag.

I mean WHAT THE F K!!!



The case is damaged due to the "package" being dropped
And the unit DIDN'T have a battery cover - although this was not disclosed on the ad - SEE ABOVE for link.

I know I paid less than a fiver - this does not mean I have to put up with half arsed traders on the bay.

regarding the other 2 boxes i would say £100 max for the 9998 not sure if you have noticed but they go for nothing in the uk, damn good box though as for the 838 quite frankly i wouldn't bother awful sounding box

Dammn that box is trashed if you can get an 838 cheap then go for it it's just not my cup of tea plus the sliders on them are nearly always bust, my first sony k10 arrived buggered in the post like so many boxes, i say if you like the box keep it for spairs untill another comes along.

Damn I gave mine away - as I thought it needed to much work - didn't realise they go for money even as restio projects!
The radio on those units is imense - I could get Kiss 100 (with broken aerials) when at University in Brighton!!! Not even my Alpine in my car could do that until I got to Crawley - some 20 miles north!!
