Just so you know, I was rummaging around this weekend and stopped at a house and asked if they had any boomboxes with just cassette players....... the guy said he had his original "sharp" boombox and he paid $200 for it in 1980..... He said he would show it to me and took me to the basement and he pulled out a GF-5959 . He was really attached to it and I offered $25 because it was pretty dirty. I honestly didn't look it over at all. He just lifted it up, blew the construction dust off of it and cranked up the radio.

I see now that you don't have this one in your collection and the 5959 style isn't my cup of tea so I didn't push the sale at all .

Cool story... And same here for the 5959............ "It is like, Why did they make one like that? With the 5858.... It is simple crappy looking."

But the worst is the 5757....... Those three are down in the pits (Now, if I were to have the chance to get ALL Shaps GF, I woold....... ..... BUT NO ROOM AT HOME, NONE!!!!! And I got a wife....... :'-(
