How does one end an eBay auction early if you want to make a sale for a fixed offer? I've even seen sellers put it in their ad that they would end early for the right price. Add to that a couple of boxes that dissapered out from under me, and I have concluded that the practice is fairly prevelant...

Reason I ask is that I made an offer on a box and the seller says that he is willing to end the auction early.

He just doesn't know how and is asking me.

Anybody know? Thanks in advance.

On the page of sale item there is a box you click on that says you can edit, change or end auction. But I think there's only so much time to do it in.

in ebay.au I go to the page where it lists all the items I am selling ... right at the end of the line of the item I am selling there is an arrow drop down list. In that list should be end listing ... or something equivalent

He needs to cancel all outstanding bids BEFORE ending the auction. Otherwise, if he ends an auction and you are not the high bidder, he will be obligated to sell to the high bidder at the time the auction is ended. I think.

I have ended several items before. There is a checkbox that asks you why you're ending it. I usually just say there was an error in the listing, or that I discovered it was broken, or something like that. Then I just relist it as a BIN.

:agree: :agree:

I've bought items like that from sellers ending auction like Reli mentioned. We both were on line and was on the phone when he put it for "buy it now" price. :-D
