i have 4 rechargeable Uniross 2300 D batteries

can i mix them with some thing else/ different brand ?

or does it have to be from the same brand ? if so then the one's out there are 2600 not 2300 !

what yer thoughts and how long do 10 D's last on average ?

I've never used rechargeables before, but I have mixed Energizer and Duracell together with no problems. As far as how long they last... it really depends on the power consumption of each boombox. Of course, the louder you play, the more juice you use.

Im using mixed sometimes. The unit is stoppin when the weak battery stop. Im mixing them on the charger too. Probably they are loosing abilities that way but who cares .

just didn't want them to leak - over power - blow up - destroy box - burn my eyes out - warp me into another universe - ok so i might be over reacting but a universe with not boxes or bmx, now that would be bad :grim:

At least rechargeable are lighter then the usal D's x10

i think that rechargeables are rated at 1.2 volt...whereas non rechargeables are 1.5 volt

You should be more concerned with the voltage. I also would never recommend mixing rechargeable and alkaline batteries. Mixing batteries with different voltage may have some unwanted effects on the electronics. The mixed voltage batteries could deliver unstable power because the higher voltage batteries may theoretically try to ''recharge'' the lower voltage re-chargeable batteries. I've read somewhere that this may also damage the rechargeables.
