Having just got this Kintsugi kit for broken crockery (i won't show you my first attempt!) it's dawned on me that gold beaded glue could look pretty cool on boombox repairs. It sets fairly hard in just ten minutes with full strength after 48 hrs. The more glue you slap on the better it looks really.
