Hey alan, great box!....a personal fav of my mine!

These were sold in Canada under the Candle/ Citizen brand sold by JIL Limited. These were also the house brand of several catalogue stores like Consumers Distributing for one.

I am being more and more surprised by mid and small radio's, the more I take a closer look.

The sound quality of some smaller radio's can not be denied

I too, LOVE those LED's

Same with Teleton in the UK. I have a Teleton integrated amplifier that came from a club book (Great Universal if memory serves correctly) circa 1981. It's a strongly built little thing and its componentry is a good decade behind the rest of the market of the time, with lots of Germanium around the place and both DIN and RCA connections. Curiously, it's designed to play into 16 Ohm loads which would have made it a straight replacement for many of the domestic Hacker, Dynatron and similarly high quality pieces of valved equipment.

with teleton being a british firm at the time its hard not to tie them in with firms like ferguson, goodmans, alba etc but they had to be the best of the more budget brands associated with the uk imho,as ive had several pieces of teleton equipment and they have always struck me as being solid and dependable ;-)
