Tandy and their Radio Shack brand may be long since gone, but at least we still have Maplin's. I recommend them if you need a square section cassette transport belt with an ID of 86mm. Sadly, that's the only size they keep these days and they want £5 for it. But they do a great catalogue and there's this really sweet woman working in their nearest store....
Radio Shack still exists in the States......it's never going away
I dislike shopping there, because stuff is overpriced and the salespeople harass you. It's good for finding connectors and other small electrical parts, but as for big hardware/audio gear, I don't know why anyone would buy that kind of stuff there.

I saw a Radio Shack in Mexico not long ago too!!! Que Viva Mexico!!! any Radio Shacks in Brasil? Australia? Uruguay?
