Why would the VUs be lit up more with increased volume, do they not respond to record level like those on other boxes? Then there's maybe he's not playing a tape. ;-)

Hmm....I'm the guy who would be examining the table before I put my gold c-100f on it...haha. It looks like its crooked and leaning! Of course I wouldn't mind having his perfect tape tray!!!!
