So after I bought my Sharp Gf777 recently I started looking around for blank cassettes to copy music onto because all of my cassettes are buried in storage right now. While searching online for cassettes (because no place near me sells them anymore), I came across this marvelous invention. The Ion Bluetooth Cassette Adapter, allows me to stream music from my phone to my box looking like I am playing a cassette. I made the Polaroid Label to make it look a bit more authentic. I highly suggest this little device, well worth the $20 I paid for it.

It looks great with the polaroid sticker on there! I would still like to get one of these some day.

Be interesting to know if any quality is lost thru the tape heads. Especially considering how cheap that thing is.

Reviews are all over the place on Amazon, but apparently, for some, the sound improved immensely once they took off the packing plastic on the tape head.

Thanks for the heads up. Just purchased. We will see how it works.

It's been great for me, sounds great. I also read the reviews and saw they were all over the place and thought I'd give it a shot anyway.

I've got one, they do have good sound quality but it tended to have issues pairing with my phone, and wouldn't sustain a solid stream reliably. It also has an annoying auto-off inactivity feature, but not auto-on, so you have to take it back out of the radio to get it going again.

It's nice and loud. And clearly demonstrated to me that the door is misaligned in my Sharp. That or the tape head in deck 2.It seems to only play on one side using that deck.
Deck 1 seems ok. Had to use a cleaning cassette initially because the sound was so low, but once done it really gonged hard. Twin cam cassette mechanism; same door.

Pairing with the phone was easy. With the tablet not so much. Couldn't find it by it's given name "Cassette Bluetooth." Gave up. With the laptop was also easy but it didn't play through bluetooth, it kept playing through the loudspeakers.

I think i'm getting one or two more. But not yet.

The bluetooth tape is rad. This SD card tape with remote has built in EQ's.
I take it to yard sales to test boomboxes, since it will play without spinning.

Yours looks slightly different than mine, I wonder if your manual was any better. Did you know you can hold down the back and forward buttons to rewind and fast forward while a track is playing? And if you type in the track number on the keypad and press play, it will jump to that track.

It also has line out jack to plug headphones directly into the cassette. I took the small plastic reel spinners out,to make it silent while spinning.

Im totally stealing the polaroid label idea....

Either battery life is poor or mine is borked.

It wont connect to my phone anymore. But, then again, i've only tried twice, both times after playing it in the car and then going to work. Left it "on" so maybe the battery just drained, but I was under the impression that it powered itself off once its Bluetooth source was no longer in range.

I might have to get this, had been thinking about it for awhile now. I do wonder about batter life though.

I really like the idea of putting a sticker over the boring tape design, in fact, I had the idea to take the internals of a cassette car adapter and put them in a normal cassette. I'll try that tonight.

This cassette play MP3 songs recorded on SD card.
With remote control you can select some presets EQ and play, stop, ff, rew songs...
Sound quality is good, but not the best...
You can insert onto side A or B to perfect match on boombox playback head.
Playback time is about 1 hour, not more...
You can buy it from ebay.
Just search "Tape Cassette SD Card MP3" and find some offerts.

Just got one of these SD card adapters delivered today. Tried it quickly and was impressed by the simplicity. I also have the ION adapter. Will be interesting to see which works better.
