Interesting observation

Funny that I've noticed several of the same classic model JVCs tend to show up while browsing ebay, regularly. I mean that when I look for vintage JVCs I may see several RC-838s listed and few others. Recently there were 6 or 7 M90s listed and a few others. Other times I've seen several M60s or 656s? This week there are 6 RC-M70s listed now and a few others. Wonder if coincidence or are people listing the same models once they see one is already listed? Most listings are new, not relisted. Does anyone notice this trend with other brands/models? Maybe this is common among all brands? I just find it interesting to see a half dozen of the same model pop up on ebay, then gone. Then a bit later a half dozen of another model, then gone.

Three explanations:
1) Guy sees another guy getting a high price for his box, so he decides that now is a good time to get a piece of the action.
2) Guy buys a defective box. He decides to re-sell it without admitting its flaws. Or "I think it just needs contact cleaner" (doesn't work on sliders).
3) Guy buys a box and strips valuable parts from it in order to complete a 2nd box. Then he lists both of them.

I think its coincidental, but strange. There will be no auctions for a particular box for almost a year and you think ooooooh its rare! Then a bunch pop up. I've seen this soooo many times. Pretty much used to it now..

I have noticed this too. I also collect synthesizers and its the same with them. There will be two or more listed at around the same time.
Its weird... some sort of cosmic convergence of second hand electronic goods.
Its good though because you get more than one chance to get what you want.

I'll say, another 1 added, makes 7 JVC RC-M70s listed right now!?

About 1 year ago there was a run on Crown 980's........the first one sold for almost 700 euros! So suddenly other sellers put theirs up too.
