Just got a Lasonic 935 off ebay and talked to the seller about packing and am so geeked up to get it. It' not the 975 I was looking for but he said it's in great shape apart from one cassette door is broken(though it has the door itself). I haven't had a box since 96, so I am soooo ready. This thing's gonna throb! Sorry, this post has nothing of value...just super excited. What a nerd.

awwww...thanks. Yeah, I can't wait. It looked to be in fine shape and when I talked to the seller he answered all my questions. I have my audiophile set-up but there's nothing like carrying your box to a party, putting it down and blowing up the room. I am sure I will start collecting soon(I know me) but this one is for pure visceral enjoyment. I have even been watching the couple of youtube vids with the 935 in it getting myself even more pumped(like the dark one that shows off the led lit eq). Maybe that is "nerd" but thanks again guys. Nobody else understands this

Thanks everybody...looks like tomorrow(Hope!). That's alright...making a couple mixes for the occasion. Already plan to sit outside, rip a cooler full of beers, maybe a cigar...and just thump **** all afternoon/evening. Already warned my one nextdoor neighbor(the other said he would probably be right next to me thumpin)

Thanks. I don't know if you know or not, but THIS WILL BE MY ONLY(for now) BOX. Haven't had one in about 15 years, so I am so geeked up for it. I have a great home audio system, but now that I spend so much more time outdoors(florida=pool/patio all weekend), It is an absolute necessity. I have been using a sony xplod. It's just fine, but that's not the point. This is gonna be so great. Also, is that (was that) you in your profile pic. It's awesome either way

If you open up the boombox case and the broken pieces from the cassette door are still there, you can send me the door and pieces and I will fix it for you for free!

It came about 30 mins ago. I was pretty close to hugging the delivery guy. Better taste prevailed. Opened it up and it was packed really well. I will def sing my sellers praises later. I am heading out in a few mins to pump it all afternoon and night, but as soon as I unpacked it, I tested it. Every slider and knob works(just a bit of fuzz on the balance slider. That's it. Every function works as do both tape decks. I plugged my ipod in...line in is perfect. No cracks and cosmetically it's just a little dirty. This thing is gonna shine up real nice. Only missing 1 eq slider and tape door A is in tacked, just a small piece on the lever that rests in the radio itself is cracked, so the fix on that shouldnt be bad. Ran some old school to test(****ing dork played Rock Box on cassette and on the Ipod...well...see picture. I could be the corniest man alive). Sooo ready for today. Thanks to all for the kind words over the last week or so as I waited and was displaying junkie-like behavior. I will post more pics of me and the boxs first date together. Ohhh, Planet Rock just came on, must go
