Yup,you CAN NOT! take the wild out of a wild animal.
They cannot be domesticated with any trust (IMHO). :nonono:

Yeah, the only way that could happen is if you treated the bear - or any wild animal - like the wolf and invested 1000's and 1000's of years to get its trust.

There will always be those who temp fate thinking they know how to interact with wild animals, that they understand them, and that they are somehow enlightened where others are ignorrant, WRONG! :nonono:

The sad part is that they'll probably kill the bear. To me, it's not the fault of the bear... The bear is just being what the bear is. :-/

"He's my friend... He would NEVER hurt me or anybody in my family." :dunce:

Those animals don't know the human concept of right and wrong... Siegfried and Roy and that white tiger, the chick with the killer whale at SeaWorld, the chimp that attacked that woman's friend and ripped her face off... If you make a misstep or spook the animal unintentionally, you're finished.

I will never understand people who try and domesticate wild animals...they are wild for a reason. Even domesticated animals will attack without reason. How often do we see stories of dogs who have attacked and mauled people. Next we will see some idiot with a shark in his swimming pool trying to domesticate it so he can swim with it. I am not really an animal person and I don't like dogs...probably has something to do with getting chased by a snarling german shepherd when I was 10. If I hadn't had my bike that day I would be wearing some serious scars or worse from someones loving "pet". There are those who have warm and fuzzy memories of their pets, and that's fine, but for me an animal will never cross my door step unless it is packaged and ready to grill... :-D ...

Very true Mono, the concept of wild animals being your "friend" is dilusional.

BMoney is probably right, the bear will likely pay the price for this.
