Just been sent one of these puppies!...for free!!

Its an ICEpower 50ASX2 amplifier which is produced by a Bang and Olufsen spin off company so presumably should pretty much rock!

Its really small and is pretty much plug and play, pumping out 50w per channel.

I got it because I wanted to mod my Philips D8444 that I'd already fitted with disco lights (see https://boomboxery.com/forum/index.php?/topic/17745-ive-discoed-up-my-philips-d8444/?hl=%2Bdisco+%2Bd8444) so the sound would match the looks

Anyone used one before?

You going to run AC only? the DC side of this is about 25V so batteries aren't really an option & how would you amp the sub

Active speakers is an option, if you have a nice pair of stand-mount/bookshelf for example. You could bi-amp a two way if you had a module for each channel. New they are around $100, you could flip it and get a pair of T-amps that would run off 12-15VDC to fit your Philips ( you need 3 amp channels for the Philips)
