The tuning string was snagged on the resistor thats on the back of the right tweeter, now there is too much slack in it..
I have to figure out how many times to wrap it, plus I think one of the tiny "guide wheels" that the string pivots on is missing..

I just stripped the black paint off the grilles and polished them a little.. had this idea in my head about getting them chrome plated..

Did you guys ever figure out what the correct belt sizes were to order..?

The 920 has one area without pulley wheel for tuner string. There are 3 adjustment holes on main tuner pulley where it allows for small adjustment of tightening tuner string. As for belts I'm not 100% sure on sizes but this is a simple deck and you can measure belts on it now and deduct about 5% unless belts seem tight enough.....

Ok not 100% sure on belt sizes but I have SBS 7.0 and SBM 10.5. This is what I found in my old belt stash ;-) I would still take measurements though to be sure.

i never knew that and ive owned 3 of these , and i was wondering why since the trc 920 is the only lasonic with a weighted tuner knob the damn tuner knob seems like it came off an easy bake oven , now i can adjust it to spin freely like it should. like the m90 that has the finest tuner dial knob/spin ever .

My best weighted tuners are on my Fisher PH492 and Telefunken Studio 1, even better than my M90 :-) My Sanyo M X920 has a great weighted tuner also.

I only had one Lasonic 920 where the tuner actually glided nice but the tuner itself didn't work :-( I also went through 4 920's and all was missing the one pulley and I don't know why!!! I adjusted mine to where it somewhat glides ;-) of course it can't be to tight/loose....

4 should be used as well.... It should have pulley. I believe there's one on other side with no pulley. It just runs on post.
