 :hmmm:  :-O

Ira, you are dead on it here. I am more than sure that Nak's "one and only" prototype of what is generally considered the finest cassette deck ever made would not find it's way onto eBay. What an idiot.

I am going to take all my old useless electronics and make Lexan cases for them... Then I will sell them on ebay as "Bought at an estate sale. Untested. Looks like some sort of prototype. "

Do you suppose he packs with crumpled newspaper?

Wouldn't that be funny!!!

I was going to send him a message and say "I think you should go for $550,000.00!

but instead asked him this:

"Is it 499.00? That is a neat tape deck, what will it fit? Do you only have one?, I have some friends interested too..."

Okay, so here is the reply I got.. pretty nice response actually

"Hi, it is specifically a Dragon one-the one and only ,it is really play and record as regular Dragon ,not just a show case.We dont want sale the one and only,so we put price high enough so nobody will ever buy it. We want show the Nakamichi fever what we have, thank you for interesting. Q2S"

That is straight from the seller! :-)

Why even list it, if they didn't want to sell it?

Maybe it's some Chinese handiwork.

I think someone should buy it right before the end of the billing cycle. Then the idiot will get charged final value fees on a half a million. Sure they will get reversed eventually, but in the meantime it will cause him a "fever". :dunce:

Why spend money listing it, just to show you have "Nakamichi Fever!?"

Why not just do a youtube video showing it in action? It's cheap, and free???

As my momma used to say, "Stupid is as stupid does...."

500K................. :jawdrop: :weed:

It may be 'all analog, baby', but that price is crazy, even if he doesn't intend on selling it.

As some others have said......Why not YouTube it in action?

At leat then, we could listen to its full wide-range dynamic analog sound through our little PC speakers.
