I mean, the woofers and subwoofers are the same size.![]()
The subs should be bigger.
And in fact, you really only need one sub anyway (like how the Big Ben does it).
The only reason Sharp designed it like that was for looks.

The same is true for Rising 20/20's......tiny ass magnetshemiguy2006 said:Ever see the coils on the woofers ? They are a joke. They are like a half inch in diameter!![]()
Makes senseMONOLITHIC said:Technically, there are no "subwoofers" in ANY old school box, just woofers and mid-bass drivers
(which the 777 has both of) 'cause none of 'em are hitting below 20Hz.
Also, two 6" drivers have more surface area than one 8" driver and can push more air...
That said, the problem with the 777 is the same problem with all Sharp boxes: light on bass 'cause their woofers aren't designed to go low.
If these boxes came with Lasonic or Toshiba-like woofers, there'd be MASSIVE improvement that would probably blow a Big Ben out the water!
Part of the problem may also be the super woofer feature itself.

What does it need to perform better? Don't they have tweeters?![]()
