So I listen to music every morning when I get ready for work. Who doesn't? I have been using my GF-777 as my music source for the last 6 months or so. Well, it felt like time to to give another boomer a chance so I rotated the sharp out for my 1st edition TRC-931 (with the VU from my sig).

Now here's the part I m going to get hell over... I actually prefer the sound fo the LASONIC!!!! I'm not kidding around here. It has a warmer, more natural, more saturated sound. The bass is more accurate and tight as well.

Ok I said it. Flame away! :angelic:

Lasonics seem to perform better (not perfect) than many boxes in the lows and mids so I'm not surprised by your observation.

My 777 also doesn't have the clear warm sound that my Lasonics, M70, M90, or Conion have :nonono: .

What does it need to perform better? Don't they have tweeters? :hmmm:

people can complain about the build quality of Lasonics all they want....but when it comes down to it...pound for pound...theres only a few boxes out there that can beat em....
i have 2 931s and a 975...and ive heard the rest of em....they all sound fantastic in my book....

All of those people who aren't impressed with their 777, sell it to me!!
dont get me wrong, i love my 777.
but for pure output capabilities...and minimal bass adjustments to avoid distortion...gotta go with a 931 or 975
....now im gonna go listen to my 777 so it doesnt feel ashamed

I own a Toyota EA900, which is the Sharp GF-909 equivalent... I assume that all Sharp variations of the 777 sound the same...

That said, the only thing these boxes have going for 'em is quality build, impressive looks & loudness... Other than that, they ain't ****!

The bass is muddy no matter how much you dial back the super bass & the high end is muffled! My smaller Sharp boxes sound MUCH better!!

Again, those complaints wouldn't stop me from buying a Sharp GF-1000 even tho I know the sound will suck!

i like the sound of the 777,i like the sound of the 931,but the 975,not very keen on it,every time i play mine all i ever seem to do is mess with the settings trying to get it to sound right, but i just cant..loudness on,way too much bass, loudness off,not enough bass,it just does'nt sound as good as the 931 and 777..
